Care Commission – 69 days and counting

It is now 69 days since the Care Commission was launched by Andrew Lansley. In that time, there have been no updates from the Commission, except for a brief update of the pages on its website.

As I mentioned this time last week, Lansley said that the Commission would publish its criteria for judging the proposals it makes two months on from its launch. The deadline for the publication of this criteria passed last Monday, and those criteria still haven’t been published.

Partly related to this, I submitted a Freedom of Information request to the Department of Health last week. I’m pleased to say that the DH has already responded to my request, and I’ll be publishing the results of that request – which are very interesting – tomorrow.
